Pete, his wife, Jane, and their two daughters, Lee and Amy, joined the Auburn family in 1975 when they moved here from Montgomery as part of a USAF transfer to the Auburn Air Force ROTC unit. Pete retired from the AF in 1980 to pursue his doctorate in education administration. After completing his degree and for the next 20 years, Pete served on the faculty and administration for Auburn University, The University of Maine, and Faulkner University, before fully retiring from professional life. He has served as an elder for about eight years, and currently oversees the SHARE Group ministry and regualry teaches college classes. Pete also serves the congregation by being our volunteer "staff elder". He and Jane have similar interests: visiting grandkids, sailing/boating, and working outside at home or their lakehouse…pretty much in that order.
